Canadian Heritage Paddling Expedition

Sometime this decade (Real jobs creating issues)

COVID-19 Update: Unfortunately, due to the pandemic we were unable to move ahead on this expedition in 2020. Our goal will be to complete this expedition in the summer of 2021. Stay safe and healthy everyone.

This summer I will be leading a paddling expedition from Lake Athabasca (Saskatchewan) to Tuktoyaktuk (Northwest Territories). The almost 3000 km route will take us down Canada’s longest river, the most northern active sand dune desert in the world, and through numerous Indigenous communities, finally concluding at the Arctic Ocean. The goal of this journey is to tell the story of interactions between past settler traders and the Indigenous peoples who continue to reside in their traditional homelands.

Along with my current corporate partners, many others have joined for this expedition. Keep an eye out for photographs of their gear to appear in the partners page after the expedition is complete. For now, please check out all supporting partners for this expedition below.
